The metro area is home to some of the top stories in the nation, including a child’s death and a mass shooting at a church.
But the number of live events in Washington, the nation’s capital, is just shy of the nation as a whole, which is home for more than 70% of all live events.
The 10 cities with the most events in the capital have the following numbers: Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, Washington, Seattle, New York, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia and Miami.
In Washington, there are more than 3,000 events, compared to 2,000 for the rest of the country.
