Today’s news comes on the heels of news that a report on a child sex abuse case in the US found a significant number of the people who were allegedly implicated in the case were themselves child sex abusers.
This is the first case of its kind in the history of the United States and comes amid growing calls for tougher reporting on child sexual abuse in the country.
The report, by the Children’s National Medical Center in Atlanta, found that at least 22 children were abused by at least three people in the course of two years.
It was commissioned by the Justice Department and was published in The New York Times.
The Children’s Medical Center report has not been independently verified.
It is not clear why the report’s findings were made public.
However, there is no doubt that the findings are deeply disturbing and will prompt calls for new and stronger reporting guidelines.
This will require a renewed and intensified effort to expose the abuse of children, the report said.
The report said it was “deeply concerned” that the number of victims was so high.
“In the course [of] investigations and investigations by the Department of Justice, there was one case where the child was a child actor,” the report quoted Dr. Steven R. Novella, director of the center, as saying.
“In the process, we were able to identify more than 300 victims.
That is not just a one-off.
That’s a very large number of children that were victimized by this one person.”
The report found that of the 22 children who were identified in the initial investigation, 16 of them were minors and all of them had been abused by an adult.
The investigators also found that a fourth child was abused by a parent and a fifth child was molested by a family member.
The child sex assault cases ranged from the small to the big: a 10-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a boyfriend and then sexually assaulted again by a cousin; a 12-year old boy was allegedly molested and sexually assaulted several times by his older brother.
In one case, the girl told her mother that her father had molested her as a child, the investigators said.
“As a result of this abuse, the child has been unable to participate in social, emotional, and sexual activities,” Dr. Nadeem Al Qasimi, who led the investigation, said in a statement.
“The child is not allowed to participate with her family or friends in the daily activities that she needs to enjoy life.”
The Children’s Center report said that one child who was sexually assaulted “appeared to be sexually active with a male relative” in the context of a “family” sexual relationship.
The children’s center also found evidence that the perpetrator was an older man.
In another case, investigators say the perpetrator molested a 12 year old boy for a period of about two months before the girl eventually came forward to say that she had been sexually assaulted.
This child is now 17 years old.
“These were children that we had to go through a very traumatic and difficult process of trying to prove to our investigators that there was no more harm to these children,” Dr Al Q asimi said.
“We came to the conclusion that we did not have enough evidence to substantiate these allegations.”
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children said in an email that the Justice Dept. report “has caused us great distress and grief.”
“We are deeply concerned about the findings of this report,” NCAIC Director Robert Capers said in the statement.
The report “says that there are over 1,000 reports of child sexual exploitation in the United State,” he said.
The NCAI has called on Congress to pass new laws that will require mandatory reporting of child sex crimes and other abuse.
